I'm hearing lots of good things about Rab at the moment, although to be fair, a lot of the kids won't be going and spending a couple of hundred quid on a jacket just yet. Handy for the leaders though!
A few years ago some of their gear was a bit weak in places, but now they seem to be flavour of the month.
I hope so, anyway, as I've just spent several hundred quid on a replacement round of down gear / waterproofs.
Tip of the week has to be Wild Country Monsoon tents |

Montane Aomic DT water proof jacket and trousers are very light, breathable, fully taped and are a good price.
If you want a good gas stove then the MSR pocket rocket is small but very fast. It will boil a litre of water in under three minutes. Not cheap but the best on the market. |
